Probation Management

The Probation module tracks employees during their probationary period and manages the confirmation process.

Features

Probation Tracking

  • Automatically track employees on probation based on their joining date
  • Set probation duration per employee (typically 3-6 months)
  • View probation end dates at a glance

Probation Status

Each employee on probation has a status:

  • On Probation — Currently in probation period
  • Extended — Probation period extended
  • Confirmed — Successfully completed probation
  • Terminated — Employment ended during probation

Confirmation Process

When probation period approaches completion:

  1. HR receives notification of upcoming probation endings
  2. Review employee performance during probation
  3. Decide: Confirm, Extend, or Terminate
  4. Update status with notes and effective date
  5. Employee is notified of the decision

Viewing Probation Records

The Probation Management page shows:

  • List of all employees on probation
  • Probation start and expected end dates
  • Current status
  • Days remaining
  • Actions (confirm, extend, terminate)

Filter by department, status, or date range to manage probation reviews efficiently.
