Leave Configuration

Set up leave types, policies, and periods for your organization.

Leave Types

Navigate to Configuration & Setup → Leave Management to configure leave types.

Creating a Leave Type

  1. Click Add Leave Type
  2. Configure:
    • Name — Leave type name (Annual Leave, Sick Leave, etc.)
    • Max Days Per Year — Maximum allocation per period
    • Is Leave Without Pay — Whether this is an unpaid leave type
  3. Save the leave type

Leave Policies

Policies bundle leave types with allocation rules:

  1. Create a leave policy
  2. Add leave types with their allocation amounts
  3. Set carry-forward rules
  4. Assign the policy to employees or departments

Leave Periods

Define your leave year:

  • Set start and end dates
  • Allocations are calculated within these periods
  • Multiple periods can exist for historical tracking

Holiday Lists

Configure public and company holidays:

  1. Navigate to holiday configuration
  2. Add holidays with:
    • Holiday name
    • Date
    • Type (public, company-specific)
  3. Holidays affect attendance and leave calculations
